I need to back up a few weeks. Christmas was so much fun this year. It was fun to share it with my family. Jayden's first Christmas and Morgan actually knowing whats going on. She didn't want Santa to come to our house, but she still was ok leaving milk and cookies out for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. The first thing Morgan checked when she woke up is if the cookies, milk and carrots were gone. They were Santa ate them right up.
Santa was good to me this year. It was such an unexpected gift. I love my elliptical I haven't been on it as much as I like too, but I will. Chris is also enjoying it too. Chris and I are both trying to watch what we eat and exercising more. I was doing better around the Holidays then I am now. I know that doesn't make sense I can't figure it out either.
The next week after Christmas we got to go to my parents cabin for the week. It was so nice and fun to be with family. I hate when the trip comes to an end and you have to come back to reality.
Our New Year's Eve is our traditional stay at home have kids in bed. Then we stay up playing the Wii against each other then five minutes until 12:00 we turn the TV watch the ball drop in New York then drink our sparkling cider and say Happy New Year to each other then go to bed. Doesn't sound that much exciting, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I don't know what the New Year has to offer our little family this year. I kind of hope that it will be a little better then 2010. I will not forget bringing my child into the world on January 28th 2010. I will not forget the many blessings and trials that happened in 2010 not just our family, but other extended family members and friends we know. Here's to 2011 lets make it even better.
I know that I have been talking a lot about trials lately, but the trials in our lives is what makes us a better and stronger person. Chris and I's faith has grow stronger over that last couple of months. It's hard to see the end of the tunnel when you are in that trial. We are getting there. It's amazing how the Lord works. I have been reminding myself everyday how bless we are and that we have the gospel in our lives and this is when we take those lessons and examples that we learn in church and apply them to our daily lives. This is when it counts. We need not to focus on ourselves and do service for others. That is one of my goals is I want to do more service for others this year.
