Diaper Dash-On Your Mark Get Set Go...

A few weeks ago I entered Jayden into a crawling contest. The contest was held @ Babies R Us. The grand prize winner would win 3 month supply of Huggies Little Mover diapers. The winners of the 5 heats would win a $10 gift card to Babies R Us. The babies ages had to be 7 months -12 months and not walking yet. Since Jayden had just turned 12 months the week before and wasn't quite walking yet. We gave it a shot. I thought this would be a fun little activity for the family to do on Saturday. Jayden has been crawling since 6 months old and people have told me that she is a fast crawler and still is, but she is now walking more and more everyday.

Morgan and I practice with Jayden a couple days before the race. I have video, but I'm not sure how to get it off my video camera. The day of the race we practice some more. I'm not sure if Jayden knew what was going on. She just knew that I would start her away from Morgan and I. I would yell GO and I held my cell phone out so she would crawl to it because she loves my cell phone or anything electronics and Jayden would go.
Jayden was in the 3rd Heat I thought more people would participate come on people 3 month supply of diapers. The only participates was her and other baby so we had a chance.

The lady said get your babies ready hands back behind the purple line. My child had a false start because she literally jumped out of Chris's arms because she is a mama's girls and she started to cry. So we knew if I was at the finish line she would crawl to me. Chris grabbed her again and the lady said go start crawling. Jayden did not hesitate she crawled right to me and other baby just sat there and looked at everyone yelling. We made it to the Championship yes.

The championship race was @ 12:15. 5 babies left, we had a chance. There was so much commotion going on when the lady said on your mark get set go... Jayden just stare at everyone yelling come on, come on so did the three other babies except one took off and when he was 3/4 almost across the finish line Jayden then started to crawl. So she came in second place. I video that race, but agian I don't know how do get video off my video camera.

It was a lot of fun we also got baby coupons, diapers samples just for showing up. The coupons it self were well worth the trip.
