As a parent I think I forget that my child doesn't know yet when two words that sound the same have two different meanings which is called heterograph and when our children tell us things that we as parents need to get more information out of them before we jump to conclusion that they have done something wrong. Let me explain.
I was at a baby shower the other day with Morgan. Morgan comes up to me and saids, Hey Mom see that girl in the yellow I pushed her. I said why did you push her that wasn't nice? Morgan said, cause I just did. I remembered her that morning Jayden went into time out because she pushed you and how you didn't like it. I was kind of puzzled because Morgan doesn't usually just go up to someone and push them. I asked Morgan again, why she pushed that girl she said I wanted to. I told Morgan that was not very nice! I was just about to tell her well she needs to go apologize to the little girl! Morgan says mom I pushed her on the swing. I was like oh well that was nice of you! I started to laugh my cousin and aunt started to laugh wow next time I need all information. Then when we were walking to the car. Morgan just started bawling I was like what is wrong. She says,"I have something in my foot." I told her to come get in the car and we will look at it. I said you probably have some kind of sticker or sliver in your foot. She says I do not have a sticker in my foot. I told her let me look at your foot and sure enough she had a sticker sticking out and I told her that. She started crying more and was like don't touch it. I don't have a sticker in my foot. It really really hurts. I grabbed her foot took the sticker out and Morgan stops crying and says oh my foot doesn't hurt anymore.
