2011

As 2011 comes to a close I wanted to wish our family and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
This year was such a better year for the Johnson Family we are so blessed and know that our Heavenly Father knows our needs and wants. Chris was asked in February from the new company that bought his old company out for a job. We were so blessed and had the faith for the time that Chris was out of a job we knew that our Heavenly Father would answer our prayers. We were never forgotten and never felt that we were. Chris is currently working on a big project at work and is doing a great job. He is having to relocate all their inventory to a new location and is doing this all by himself which is a massive job. Even thou at times he has been stress out for the last couple of months. I have to remind him that it all works out, it always does. Chris had two of his grandpa's died this year. One on each side of his Mom and Dad's within a two month span. Yes, it was sad, but at the same time we both knew that they lived a wonderful life and is in a better place right now. Chris also in July was called to be Elders Quorum President in our ward. You couldn't have asked for a better person to do the job. I can tell just in the last few months of his calling how much he loves the people in our ward and loves serving them. The Elders have had quite the activities the last couple of months in our ward. Let's just say because of my husband we had Prime Rib at our Adult Christmas Party this year! (It was more of a joke!) It still happened and it was so good.
I'm so proud of Chris and I'm so glad that I'm married to him.
This year we also celebrated our 8th anniversary in June and went to Las Vegas. We went and saw Celine Dion (Chris's idea). It was so fun we spent 4 days there and just did all different activities. I told Chris that is is a must every year not necessary celebrating anniversary, but just getting away as a couple. We will have to see where we go next year. I'm hoping New York! We both have never been there.
In September our family with Grandma & Grandpa Johnson went to Disneyland and the men also went to the U football game. It was one of the best time to go to Disneyland and we went to the beach which was perfect weather. Morgan went on Spalsh Mtn, Space Mtn, and Tower of Terror I never told her what the rides were about she was just happy to go on a ride. Both girls didn't care for the princesses. We saw every single one except Snow White which was pretty darn good. The only one Morgan posed with was Sleeping Beauty the rest she cried the whole time. Now she tells me I think today would be a great day to go to Disneyland. She can't wait to go back.
Myself, I have been keeping myself busy with my two wonderful girls. Since February I have been working part time from home doing data entry for one of Chris's Uncles I love it so much. We all know that I love saving money. I still coupon, for the past year I carrie my coupon binder around with me every where I go. I can't buy anything without a coupon it kills me if I have to pay full price for something because I know I have gotten it cheaper. I love also helping others save money. I have taught a couple of coupon classes this year. I'm still play soccer on a women's outdoor league currently I'm playing indoor on a coed team. I think I will keep playing until I can't move any more or no one wants me on their team. I also have done Zumba since March love love Zumba if you haven't tried it. It is so much fun and a good workout. I'm also a primary teacher and February will be a year since I have been doing it.
Morgan has has loved doing pre-school again this year and can't wait for kindergarten. She tells me all the time I can't wait to go to kindergarten. Every morning she wakes up and tells me she needs to do homework. I print off worksheets off the computer so she can have her homework to do. Right now I'm working with Morgan to read these books that my friend told me about them. She loves them so much and wants to do it everyday. It's at a kindergarten level like I said this girl is ready for school. We constantly have pictures and drawings all over our house and she is always asking me how to spell things. Nothing gets pass Morgan she remembers everything you tell her. So don't be making promises that you can't keep because she will remind you. Last year we tried dance, soccer she just didn't care for it. This year I put her in tumbling, I was a little leary of her doing it, but she loves it. I will be signing her up for the next level in January because she told me she wants to keep on doing it. Morgan is my 4 year old going on 16. She told me she wanted to be a teenager so she could get a cell phone so she could text. Wow! Morgan loves playing and teasing Jayden. She loves that she has someone to play with now.
Jayden keeps me on my toes. I can't get anything done when she is around and awake. I have to constantly see what she is up to and if she is quite then she is getting in to something(aka mostly my makeup) pulling the wipes out, destroying something! getitng up on the kitchen counter. Then her walking around and asking me what happened mama what happened then Jayden answering her own question Jayden did it! Jayden did it! I wouldn't change it for the world I love her to death. She is my little mama's girl! She has accomplished going to nursery it took 6 months, but that normal for my kids. Jayden is my little talker she loves to run and I can't believe how much energy she has. I'm glad that she takes 3hr naps for me each day. I think I would go insane if it wasn't for the nap. I think all mothers can relate. Jayden knows her ABC's and counts to ten, but if your playing hide and seek with her she starts at 7. I've tried to teach her to start at 1 but I guess she is so excited. One time in church during the sacrament while everyone was quite she started to yell 7, 8, 9, 10 here I come. It was very comical. Jayden is always entertaining us and making us smile so it makes up for her mischievous behavior.
Again just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Chris and I are always praying for your family and friends hope all is well with your families. Keep up the great work.
Love, always Chris, Melissa, Morgan and Jayden Johnson.

Nice recap of the year. I LOVE that last pic of Jayden - it captures her.
